Since Apple released the newest Apple Watch Series 10 in early September , its price has been steadily falling; it’s currently priced at $299 (originally $399) after a $100 drop, which is its lowest price according to price trackers . This price is for a 42mm case, 130mm to 180mm straps, and case colors: black, denim and rose gold. The 46mm case costs $329 (originally $429), which is also the lowest price after the $100 discount.
According to Lifehacker associate tech editor Michelle Erhardt’s review , the Apple Watch Series 10 is the best Apple Watch for most people and a great replacement if you’re still wearing the lower -end SE . There are also a few key updates to Apple Watch 9 , although they’re less noticeable than previous Apple Watch updates. The first thing you’ll notice about the Series 10 is the thinner body and larger OLED screen (1.6 inches or 1.8 inches, depending on which size you get). Unlike the Series 9, which could only take calls through the speaker, the Series 10 supports audio playback, meaning you can listen to podcasts or Spotify on its speakers. Sleep features have also been improved, with a notification that activates when sleep apnea symptoms occur. There are also new depth and water temperature sensors that automatically turn on when you go underwater. This feature was previously unique to the more premium Apple Watch Ultra series.
The battery will last for 18–36 hours, depending on usage. You still get the same fitness features, heart rate monitor, and sleep tracker as previous models, but there’s still no blood oxygen sensor .
