Nebula Capsule 3 came out in September of this year and received an “excellent” review from PCMag . It has an 8W speaker, which is plenty for a portable projector, but it won’t fill the room with sound. Luckily, it has an eARC port for home theater setups.

What sets this projector apart is its small size—4.7 inches by 2.7 inches (H-D), which is roughly the size of a tall beer can. Image correction is fast, responsive, and works well—an important feature since you’ll likely need to move the projector frequently. Auto focus will adjust to the distance and angle of any surface you point it at.

The brightness is 200 lumens, which is not that much. To get a good image, you’ll have to limit yourself to darker rooms. The resolution is only 1080p with a maximum screen size of 120 inches, which is quite decent. It’s good enough for everyday bedroom viewing, but you won’t get the same picture quality, colors, and blacks that home projectors offer. With Google TV, you can use Chromecast to mirror your phone’s screen, download apps, and watch live TV for free.

Battery life is up to two and a half hours, which is enough to watch most movies. At its current price, it competes even with the weaker Nebula Capsule Air , making it a great value.
