What’s New in Max in March 2025

Max’s March lineup includes the fourth and final season of the original comedy series The Righteous Gemstones (March 9), which stars Danny McBride, Adam Devine, John Goodman and Edie Patterson, among others, as members of the famed Gemstone family of televangelists. Episodes will air weekly on Sundays.

Max Original reality series American Sex will premiere at the end of the month (March 27), with weekly episodes airing in April and May. The eight-part show gives an inside look into the lives of Jake and Logan Paul. HBO is also producing Celtics City, a nine-part sports documentary premiering March 3, that follows the NBA franchise from its inception to the 2024 championship.

Three A24 films are slated for Max in March: Queer (March 28), starring Daniel Craig as an American expat who develops a relationship with the young leading lady (played by Drew Starkey). The film is based on the novella by William S. Burroughs, and Craig was nominated for Golden Globe, Critics’ Choice and Screen Actors Guild awards. “The Heretic” (March 7) is a horror film about two Mormon missionaries trying to convert a reclusive man played by Hugh Grant, who also received multiple award nominations for his performance. Finally, in Sing Sing (March 21), Oscar nominee Colman Domingo plays a convict imprisoned at Sing Sing for a crime he didn’t commit and who joins a theater troupe with other male inmates—the film is based on a true story.

In March, Max will also have live sports coverage including NBA and NHL games, women’s 3×3 basketball and the NCAA men’s basketball tournament from the first round through the Elite 8.
