The Hottest Gifts for Valentine’s Day 2025 (According to TikTok)
Do you know what’s good about social networks? This takes the guesswork out of gift giving. With Valentine’s Day approaching, you can look over your partner’s shoulder to see what products the algorithms are showing them ads for, watch influencers show off the hottest items, or just look for something popular. Here’s what to get your loved one for Valentine’s Day, based on what’s going viral.
#1: Personalized Jewelry
The first thing I’ve been getting a lot of videos about lately is personalized jewelry. Of course, many of these videos come from the manufacturers or boutiques themselves, but I only watch them because they get enough positive feedback to go viral and feature them on my FYP. Generally speaking, heart-shaped jewelry is a no-no, and expensive jewelry can be risky depending on the stage your relationship is at, but personalized jewelry is always a winner. It’s more sentimental and meaningful, but it doesn’t actually have to be very expensive.
An engraved sterling silver bracelet can cost as little as $14 on Amazon and can include a name, a special date, geographic coordinates, or something special for you and your special someone. Two years ago my boyfriend gave me this first Tiffany necklace ($210) and I never took it off. You can also create your own combination using Kendra Scott’s Color Bar , which is especially popular with students and young adults, but will work for anyone. (For example, this is what I got for my birthday last week.)
No. 2: Permanent jewelry
Another idea that’s been popping up everywhere , but it’s a little serious, is permanent decorations. These are usually small bracelets that are welded to the wearer (so they’re easy enough to break if you really need to, but hopefully you never do). On social media, couples are posting about getting together, although I caution that you both have to do it, otherwise it’s a bit weird and possessive in my opinion. It used to be that “permanent jewelry” meant spending thousands on some piece from Cartier, but these days that amount could be as little as a few hundred, depending on where you live. Stores offering this service have popped up all over the country, so Google the name of the city and “permanent decorations,” but only if you think your partner will really enjoy it.
Alternatively, you can buy DIY kits that include two bracelets and everything you need to attach them for about $50.
#3: Mini-fridge
It was a big deal last year, but it’s still a big deal this year. (I just added one to cart after months of pressure from my algorithm .) Yes, mini-fridges are popular for keeping drinks, but also for keeping skin care products chilled, so does your loved one like to open a cold one? refrigerator or apply 11 coats When in their face (or both at the same time), there are several paths to success here.
-
Insignia Classic Mini Fridge in Black ( $99.99, Best Buy ).
-
Iceblue Skin Care Refrigerator with Front Lighted Mirror ( $39.99, Amazon )
#4: Stanley glasses (and other non-Stanley glasses)
Stanley tumblers (and their various competitors ) have remained popular for many years and make suitable gifts for any occasion. People love these things, so it’s a disaster with gifts. Place flowers or smaller gifts inside to seal the deal, and try to get the Valentine’s Day-themed Stanley ($45) for style points since it’s trending right now .
#5: Customize Anything
Going back to my original point, custom gifts are always better, especially during the more romantic holidays. Spend some time on TikTok or Reels and you’ll see products that can be personalized, from air fresheners to pajamas . A few ideas:
-
Photo Blanket ($18.99).
-
Illuminated Photo Sign ($12.99).
-
Very popular band merch photo t-shirt ($12.99).
Gift selection ideas taken from social networks
Sure, these are a few things that are trending on the app right now, but they’re all unique, so you can’t just order a small refrigerator for your loved one if they don’t really want it. If you’re okay with mild cyber stalking (and you’re confident the person you’re buying for won’t be scared), try going to their Instagram and clicking on the “Following” tab. You’ll see more than just the accounts they follow, which can point you toward carefully curated interests and hashtags they follow. Browse accounts and hashtags where the videos and posts they like will automatically appear (because the algorithm is sick). If you see “Like [their username]” underneath a post, it can give you a good idea of what they really like but may not have even thought to ask for.
Again, proceed with caution: if the person you’re buying the gift for might find this method invasive (like someone you’ve just started dating), don’t use it! But if you’re really having trouble with gift ideas and you know the person well enough, give it a try.
