Oura Ring (3rd Generation) Still on Sale After Cyber Monday
The Oura Ring is a great fitness tracker for minimalists . While you sleep, it measures your sleep, HRV, skin temperature and more, and its app tells you how recovered and ready you are every day. Today, the third generation ring is still on sale, with all models $50-$100 below the regular list price.
Several sizes and styles briefly sold even better on Cyber Monday; For example, I’ve seen prices as low as $221 for a silver Heritage size 10. Today, those unexpectedly low prices are gone, but significant sales are still ongoing. Lowest prices on black and silver rings: Normally $299, now $249. The best deals are on gold and rose gold rings, which usually cost $449 and are now $349. That leaves the stealth (matte black) and matte titanium options, which are priced in the middle at $279, down from $349.
To get an idea of what you’re getting, I’ll break down Oura’s product offerings:

The 3rd generation ring , released in 2021, comes in Horizon style (smooth) and Heritage style (with a flat area at the top of the ring). Available in whole sizes from 6 to 13.

The Generation 4 ring , released in 2024 , has one shape – smooth. More sizes available: whole sizes from 4 to 15.
The inner surface of the new ring doesn’t have the sensor bumps that the Gen 3 has, and the company says its sensors are slightly more accurate. But to be honest, both rings have similar functionality. As a 3rd gen owner, I don’t envy people who own a 4th gen.

Of course, these prices are subject to change and some styles are not available in all sizes. These are old models, after all, and Oura seems to want to get rid of old stock. The 4th generation Oura ring is not on sale right now (and wasn’t on Black Friday). It costs $50 more than the regular price of the third generation rings for each color, which is $349 for black and silver, $499 for gold and rose gold, and so on.
By the way, if you want something to track your workouts and not just your sleep, Oura may not be for you. You’ll probably want a Garmin or Whoop bracelet that will give you accurate sleep data and track your workouts; I recently refereed a fight between the Oura ring and the Whoop group . Whoop won partly on activity tracking and partly on price. (Oura and Whoop both have subscription fees; check this link to see a breakdown of the numbers.) And if I start convincing you, I’ll add that Whoop is also running a Cyber Monday deal .
However, the Oura Ring is a great sleep tracker that can be paired with a fitness watch or monitor your health without having to worry about activity tracking at all. If the $5.99/month subscription fee doesn’t bother you, go ahead and buy the ring.
