Apple MacBook Air 13-inch with M3 chip: $1,199 at Amazon (was $1,299) . This is Apple’s latest MacBook Air, powered by the M3 chip. There are currently deals running on the 512GB model, which can come with 16GB or 24GB of storage.
Apple MacBook Air 15-inch with M3 chip: $1,163 at Amazon (was $1,299) . This MacBook Air is similar in many ways to its 13-inch counterpart and features a 15-inch screen and an M3 processor. At the time of writing, a 256GB model and a 512GB model (with 24GB of storage) are available.
Apple MacBook Air 13-inch with M2 chip: $950 at Amazon (was $999) . If you’re okay with the older model, the MacBook Air M2 with 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is now $100 cheaper than the M3 model.
Apple MacBook Air 13-inch with M1 chip: $599 at Walmart (was $699) . Apple’s oldest M-series MacBook Air is still a strong workhorse with an M1 chip, 8GB of memory and 256GB of storage, although the smaller discount here may not justify the trade-off.
Apple MacBook Pro 14-inch with M3 Pro chip: $1,599 at Best Buy (was $1,899) . This 14-inch laptop, a slightly older model of the MacBook Pro, features an M3 Pro chip, 18GB of memory, and a 512GB SSD. This is a good compromise between the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro.
Apple MacBook Pro 14-inch with M4 Pro chip: $1,799 at Amazon (was $1,999) . Or simply refuse to compromise. If you want a pro-grade MacBook with a pro-grade chip, this is a great choice. You’ll get a 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M4 Pro processor, 24GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of storage.
Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch with M4 Pro chip: $2,299 at Amazon (was $2,499) . This is an upgrade from the 16-inch MacBook Pro M4 Pro with the same chip, up to 48GB of memory and 512GB of internal storage.
Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch with M4 Max chip: $3,254 at Amazon (was $3,499) . Upgrading the screen size to the M4 Max MacBook Pro gets you a 16-inch display, 36GB of storage, and a 1TB SSD.

For those like me who grew up with Windows PCs, there are still plenty of deals on the tried-and-true standard this Cyber Monday, especially for those looking for something that can compete with the MacBook Air.

Lenovo Yoga 7 14-inch 2-in-1 with Ryzen 7 chip: $675 at Lenovo (was $1,025) . This convertible Windows laptop can flip over and turn into a tablet. It features a respectable AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS chip, a whopping 1TB of storage, 16GB of storage, a 14-inch touchscreen, and even a stylus.
Samsung Galaxy Book 4 with Intel Core 7 chip: $530 at Best Buy (was $900) . In case you didn’t know, Samsung actually makes laptops! This Windows PC has a 15-inch display, an Intel Core 7 processor, 16 GB and 512 GB of internal memory.
Lenovo ThinkBook 16-inch with Ryzen 4 7430U chip: $764 at Amazon (was $899) . Dell’s XPS line used to be my favorite MacBook Pro competitor for Windows, although the company’s recent move toward a Touch Bar has dampened my enthusiasm somewhat. Dell XPS 16 with Intel Core Ultra 9 chip: $2,545 at Dell (was $3,145) . For a fraction of the cost, this XPS laptop from Dell has a larger screen and even lets you play on the side. You’ll get an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 GPU, 32GB of memory, a 1TB SSD, and a 16-inch 4K+ touch display.
