The Worst, Loudest Party Speaker I’ve Ever Reviewed Gets $250 Off on Cyber Monday
Many Black Friday deals from retailers like Best Buy , Home Depot and others are still available on Cyber Monday , but some special deals seem to be reserved for the online-only shopping day. A pair of killer discounts on the Soundboks 4 and Soundboks Go party speakers are one such deal: Both are currently selling at their lowest prices ever , according to price tracking tools .
Soundboks 4 costs $749 (originally $999); is the company’s leading speaker. The Soundboks Go costs $524 (originally $699), and is a more portable and somewhat more affordable version.
In my review of the Soundbox 4, I noted that I was hesitant to play it at its maximum volume of 126 dB outdoors (mostly for fear of noise complaints, as I was in a park near many apartment buildings), but I’m so glad I did. The feeling of 216 watts of power at that volume almost took me back to my Coachella days. At the current price of $749, you get great value for your money, although not everyone needs that much power.
The Soundboks Go, the little brother of the Sounboks 4, is much more portable and almost as loud, with the same 40 hours of battery life. As you can read in my Soundbox Go review , you get an impressive 121 decibels of volume from the small 20-pound speaker.
If you’re looking for a party speaker system with a lot of cool features, the JBL PartyBox Stage 320 is still my top recommendation, and it’s on sale at its lowest price for Cyber Monday . But if you need a serious speaker for big events, there’s no better option than the Soundbox 4.
