I’m a Certified Personal Trainer and These Are My Favorite Black Friday Deals on Fitness Equipment.
These fitness deals are among the millions of items that will be on sale for Black Friday this year. If you’re interested in the best tech on sale today, check out our Best Black Friday Tech Deals page for a broader look at all the best discounts you can get right now. Prices are correct at the time of writing, but you can expect them to fluctuate and stock to sell out, so don’t hesitate if you see a sale that interests you.
Black Friday is here and these are my favorite deals on fitness equipment, including big discounts on exercise bikes, adjustable dumbbells, and more. It’s also worth checking out deals on fitness trackers and especially Garmin watches if you’re looking for something to track your workouts.
Hydro rowers for sale.
Hydrow makes rowing machines with a screen similar to Peloton and offers subscription classes. Two of their top models are on sale this Black Friday season: the Hydrow Pro is $1,745 (21% off the regular price of $2,195) and the Hydrow Wave is $1,440 (15% off the regular price of $1,695) .
Powerblock and Bowflex adjustable dumbbells are available for sale.
Some of my best adjustable dumbbells are on sale today. Powerblock Elite EXP Stage 1, ranging from 5 to 50 pounds, sells for $299 per pair on Amazon, normally $449 per piece, or $199 per piece at Walmart. Its Stage 2 and Stage 3 expansion kits are also on sale for $142.90, down from $169. Each set adds 20 pounds, so with both you can have a pair of 90-pound dumbbells.
The Powerblock Pro 100 (yes, an adjustable 100-pound dumbbell) costs $439.90 each (down from $549). You’ll save over $200 if you buy two.
The Bowflex SelectTech 552 retails for $379 per pair, with a list price of $549. Sometimes they cost a little less than list price, but the sale price here is lower than I’ve seen all year.
Peloton and NordicTrack spin bikes are available for sale.
Peloton has made a habit of offering great deals on its bikes around every major holiday, so of course there’s a good Black Friday sale going on right now. The base Bike model costs $1,295 (down from $1,445), while the fancier Bike+ model costs $1,995 (regularly $2,495). Of the two options, the Bike+ is selling better compared to historical pricing data, but ultimately you should choose based on which best suits your needs. I have a guide to help you decide between Bike and Bike+ .
However, Peloton isn’t the only game in town when it comes to higher-end spin bikes. The NordicTrack Commercial Studio Cycle costs $1,274.98 (down from $1,499.99) for the S22i. It has the same size screen as the Peloton Bike, a swivel screen mount like the Bike+, and automatic resistance like the Bike+. (Like Peloton’s offerings, access to digital features also requires a monthly subscription, but in this case you’ll pay $39 per month rather than $44.)
Theragun and Hyperice massage guns are on sale.
A massage gun is a great tool for when you feel like you enjoy being hit repeatedly, but with a therapeutic effect. (As I discovered when I tried one out, I don’t like it , but a lot of people do.) Some major brands have models on sale right now. The Hypervolt Go is currently $99 (regularly $129) and is available in both white and black. And the triangular Theragun Mini , which usually costs $199, is now $149 or $159 depending on your color preference. Desert Rose and Black are more inexpensive at the moment.
Speedo and my favorite Adidas duffle bags are on sale.
Normally $90, Speedo’s Teamster Backpack is on sale for Black Friday, but the price depends on the color you choose. Here’s a sophisticated forest green for $63.44 or a vibrant orange cheetah pop for $38.28 . This bag is loved by swimmers for its dry and wet water compartments, durable construction, and pockets for everything.
There’s also a good sale on the Adidas Defender duffle bag, my favorite duffle bag. I have a size small ($26.99, usually $40) or you can get a medium ($26, usually $45) or a large ($45.85, usually $55). These prices are for the classic black version with white logo, but there’s a whole rainbow available. Prices vary depending on color.
Treadmills are available for sale.
NordicTrack’s T Series treadmills are on sale now: the T Series 6.5S will cost $663.53, down from $799.99, and the T Series 10 will cost $999.99, down from $1,299.99. The 10 even has an offer for a year of subscription content for $1,395 (down from $1,695).
Or, if you prefer the Peloton ecosystem, the Peloton Tread is now $2,695, down from $2,995. Looking for a budget model? Try this Sunny Treadmill for $394.99, down from $789.98. It’s been on sale in recent months, but usually in the $600-$700 range, not such a good price.
Barbells, dumbbells and other useful heavy items are sold.
Rogue Fitness is hosting a Matte Black November Sale with discounts on a variety of items, some for a limited time or with limited supplies. One great deal that caught my eye (and should be available on Cyber Monday) is a 15kg Bella bar for $205 (regularly $235). This is a 15kg Olympic barbell that is great for anyone doing CrossFit or Olympic weightlifting, especially if you compete in the women’s or youth categories. (And if you don’t understand why these sports have a separate bar for women, I have a whole explanation .)
Various stores also sell bumpers, and I’d like to highlight these basic 45-pound bumpers from GIKPAL. Bumpers are great for Olympic lifts as well as deadlifts or anything else where you need a little protection for your floor and ears. It’s currently $116 per pair , normally $179.
Discounts on fitness watches
I have a whole post about fitness trackers and smartwatch deals here , but I’ll give a few examples:
-
The Fitbit Charge 6 costs $99.95 (regular price $159.95).
-
Apple Watch Series 10 starts at $329 and up (regular price $399 and up, depending on size and connectivity).
-
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 costs $202.60 and up (original price $299.99, again depending on size and connectivity).
-
The Garmin Vivoactive 5 costs $199.99 (regular price $299.99). This is a great watch for basic fitness tracking and I would recommend it to Fitbit users who want an alternative to the Versa or Sense. (It also beat the Pixel Watch 3 in my head-to-head comparison .)
-
The Garmin Forerunner 165 also costs $199.99 (regular price $249.99). If you are more of an athlete/runner, you may prefer this over the Vivoactive. (But if you’re a serious runner, consider my favorites, the Forerunner 265/265 for $349.99, or splurge on the Forerunner 965 for $499. Both are $100 off their regular price.)
