The app gives you access to features like noise modes (active noise cancelling, adaptive, ambient sound), a nine-band adjustable equalizer, and an adaptive equalizer that adjusts the sound based on how the headphones fit in your ears. Non-Samsung Android users can still use the Wear app through the Google Play Store, but iOS users are out of luck. Without the app, these headphones can only be connected like standard Bluetooth headphones without access to customization features, and lack AI-powered tools like Translator Mode (for real-time translation) and Listening Mode (for translating videos or lectures).
