The Best Black Friday Deals I’ve Found on Fitness Trackers and Smartwatches
If you’ve been waiting for a good deal on a fitness watch, now is the time. Most major brands already offer discounts, including Fitbit, Garmin and Apple watches.
The best deals I’ve found are listed below (and if you’re interested in Garmin specifically, I have an entire separate post dedicated specifically to them ).
Fitbit
All current Fitbit models are on sale now. Fitbit’s top tracker, the Charge 6 , is on sale for 38% off at $99.95 (regularly $159.95). I chose this minimalist style fitness tracker . (You can learn more about its best features here , or check out our hands-on review from when it first launched.)
Also on sale is the Inspire 3 for $69.95 (down from $99.95). It’s like a stripped-down Charge 6—it still does great heart rate and step tracking, but lacks some of the smart features. It also relies on your phone’s location services rather than built-in GPS.
If you’d rather have a full-featured watch, there are also deep discounts on the Versa 4 ($119.99, down from $199.99, a whopping 40% off) and Sense 2 ($179.95, down from $249.95 US dollars).
That said, if you’re not sure you want Fitbit for your next smartwatch, I have a quick rundown of how the Pixel Watch 3 compares to Garmin’s Vivoactive 5 —I named the Vivoactive 5 the winner, and it’ll cost $199. right now. Just thought you should know.
Apple Watch
Apple produces three different watches. The Series 10 is currently the mid-range model, the Ultra 2 is a more refined model, and the SE (2nd generation) is a more minimalist option. All three are currently for sale. We’ll start with the Series 10 because our assistant tech editor Michelle Erhardt called it the best Apple Watch for most people .
-
Series 10 (GPS, 42mm) , $329 (up from $399)
-
Series 10 (GPS + Cellular, 42mm) , $429 (down from $499)
-
Series 10 (GPS, 46mm) , $359 (up from $429)
-
Series 10 (GPS + Cellular, 46mm) , $459 (up from $529)
Apple Watch SE costs just $169 (down from $249) for the 40mm GPS-only version , or $199 (down from $279) for the 44mm version. Or buy the Apple Watch Ultra 2 for $719 (down from $799). It measures 49mm and is equipped with GPS and cellular connectivity. And if you like to get bargains on older models, you can pick up the 41mm Series 9 (one generation older than current models) for just $299.
Garmin
There are a ton of deals on Garmin watches right now, so much so that I’ve put together a whole separate post with the best ones . A few worth noting:
-
At $199.99 (down from $299.99), the Vivoactive 5 is, in my opinion, Garmin’s best lifestyle smartwatch, with tons of great features and a battery life of over 9 days.
-
At $149.99 (down from $199.99), the Forerunner 55 is Garmin’s most basic running watch, but it still has a ton of smartwatch features, sleep tracking, and more.
-
Forerunner 265 and 265s – $349.99 (down from $449.99) – These are the best watches for runners in my opinion (and the 265s is the one I personally own). You can read more about why I like it here .
-
At $299.99 (down from $399.99), the rugged, solar-powered Instinct 2 Solar is a great watch for hikers and other outdoor enthusiasts.
Suunto
Sunnto outdoor watches are not as well known as their competitors, but there are a few offerings today that I need to talk about. The multisport Suunto 9 Baro costs $199.90 (down from $299), and the Suunto Core with temperature and storm alarms costs $159 (down from $219).
