I’m Splurging on an Electric Car This Black Friday and You Should Too
I buy an electric car for Black Friday and refuse to be upset about it. You should think about this too, especially if you have elderly parents who like to garden or if you are an elderly person who likes to garden.
I spent 20 years proud of the countless wheelbarrows I hauled, full of soil, compost, wood chips and wood. But time is not on my side, and as I approach 50, it becomes increasingly difficult. This summer I borrowed an electric wheelbarrow from a neighbor. Of course, if I married a car, I couldn’t be expected to return it, right? The wheelbarrow didn’t do all the work for me; he gave me gentle assistance, which meant I was able to do more work without destroying my body. Black Friday is the perfect time to review a tech like this: I’m reviewing four models.
Classic car with power
There’s a reason the classic wheelbarrow design works: it can fit into tight spaces, it has few parts, and it can be unloaded easily. Corners are less of a problem for a wheelbarrow than for a cart, as turning around it is virtually impossible. Here are two I would look at.
Electric trolley
Although they lack the flexibility of a classic wheelbarrow, utility carts can accommodate more weight and larger loads. Most allow you to pull back the sides to become a flat cart, and these carts are driven forward rather than being towed behind, which is what I prefer.
