I’d Recommend These Seven Outdoor Security Cameras That I’ve Tested, and They’re All on Sale for Black Friday.
Outdoor cameras are useful for more than just actual security: They can show you if your dog is in the backyard or if the gate is open, or alert you when friends show up or a package is being delivered to you. These cameras aren’t just about catching intruders—they capture the life going on outside your door.
These are the cameras I’ve tested and liked.
Yufi Solokams
The Eufy Solocams are the cameras I rely on when I’m not testing other cameras. I love the dual lenses and 360 degree field of view. Alternatively, you can store clips locally if you have an eufy backup center called Homebase .

Reolink PoE CCTV Cameras
I’m a little late to the game with Reolink – I tried it and didn’t like their Argus line, neither the look nor the app. But their PoE (Power over Ethernet) (Point, Tilt, Zoom) PTZ cameras are a different story and are now what I would choose if I were buying cameras for the first time. You want PTZ to provide the best 360° view of your space and PoE to provide better protection from Wi-Fi hackers.

Blink Outdoor 4 Camera
The Blink cameras are a bit basic compared to other high-end security cameras, but at $39.99 they’re a great deal. I find them easy to install, retain decent battery life, and provide a pretty good field of view. The resolution is excellent and the system is expandable, which I really like. Pro tip: Buy a sync module to store clips locally without having to subscribe.

Ring wired camera with floodlight
As far as discounts go, 40% off is nothing to sneeze at, and as someone who has a lot of Ring products around the house, I like the level of notifications I can achieve after a few changes to the camera settings. This 1080p camera has two-way communication in addition to a security siren.
