What’s New on Disney+ in December 2024

“Tis the season: Disney+ will air several holiday specials in December, including an exclusive double episode of The Simpsons, O C’mon All Ye Faithful” (December 17); 15th Annual CMA Country Christmas Show (Dec. 6), a holiday concert filmed in front of a live audience in Nashville; and the premiere of the annual Christmas episode of Doctor Who: Joy to the World (25 December).

Viewers will also be able to watch five NBA games on Disney+ this Christmas:

  • San Antonio Spurs vs. New York Knicks (noon ET)

  • Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Dallas Mavericks (2:30 p.m. ET)

  • Philadelphia 76ers vs. Boston Celtics (5:00 p.m. ET)

  • Los Angeles Lakers vs. Golden State Warriors (8:00 p.m. ET)

  • Denver Nuggets vs. Phoenix Suns (10:30 p.m. ET)

There’s also an animated version of the Spurs-Knicks game , Dunk The Halls , airing alongside the traditional game presentation, as well as live coverage of the annual Christmas parade and pageant broadcast at 11 a.m. ET from Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disneyland Resort in California. .

More Marvel What If? and the premiere of “Star Wars: The Skeleton Crew”

December brings new content to Disney’s major franchises: Star Wars: The Skeleton Crew (December 3) is an eight-episode series about four kids who are lost in the galaxy and must return home. The series, which stars Jude Law as Jod Na Navuda, will premiere over two episodes with weekly episodes beginning on December 11. The MCU has a third season of What If…? from Marvel Animation. (Dec. 22), in which characters travel through alternate versions of the multiverse. The episodes will air over eight days, with the final part airing on December 29.
