Ahead of Black Friday, This Powerful MacBook Air M2 Is on Sale for Its Lowest Price Ever
Apple makes some of the best laptops for the general public, and the MacBook Air series has consistently been one of the most popular among Apple lovers over the years. The M1 is a great example of how these laptops remain consistently high-performing: it’s still one of the best laptops most people will be able to buy in 2024 . The M2, as its successor, has even greater potential to be a great laptop for years to come. Currently, the highest-performance tier, the 16GB RAM version of the M2 MacBook Air , costs $749 on Amazon (originally $999), which is the lowest price according to price tracking tools . It is available in Space Grey, Midnight, Silver and Starlight.
Earlier this month, the 16GB RAM version dropped to $799 , which was an incredible price at the time. Now, with the current early bird Black Friday deal, the price drops another $50, making it the same price as the 8GB RAM version (before the $50 on-page coupon). Even with the $50 discount, having twice the RAM is a much better deal and will make your laptop last much longer. Just before April of this year, the cost to double the RAM to 16GB was $200. As tech editor Jake Peterson explains, this may be the last laptop you ever buy .
The MacBook Air M2 came out in 2022, and judging by how Apple has supported the M1 so far, we can expect many years of support for the M2. According to CNET’s review , the M2 has a 13.6-inch screen with a 2,560-by-1,664 resolution and a battery life of about 17 hours.
