Amazon owns the Ring and Blink security cameras , but of the two, the Ring cameras are more premium and don’t go on sale as often. Ring also has a Pro series, which are higher-end cameras. One of these cameras, the Ring Spotlight Cam Pro , is currently $179.99 (originally $229.99), which is the lowest price according to price checker tools . It features excellent sound quality, fast notifications and backlighting, among other features.
Ring Spotlight Cam Pro released in 2022. Two years later, it’s still a premium security camera, but its resolution shows its age a bit, reaching 1080p. The field of view is 140 degrees, and you can choose between a cloud subscription or free local storage. It is compatible with Amazon Alexa and IFTTT (no Google Assistant or HomeKit). Has color night vision and intrusion alarm (you can change the settings in the app).
This camera stands out for its sound quality, but ironically, not for its light. This is not a spotlight camera, so that can be forgiven. According to a ZDNet review, the floodlight is only 375 lumens bright, which covers an area of about 30 feet. But two-way audio is clear enough to have a casual conversation with someone 40 feet away from the camera without any problems.
The camera is wireless, with an easily accessible battery, but a wired version and a solar-powered version are also sold.
