These Ecoflow Power Stations for Your Home Are up to 54% Off on Prime Day
It has not escaped my notice that at this very moment we are between two fateful storms in the Southeast. I regularly hear from friends who say things like, “We’re making do around the fire,” because their power is still out from the hurricane that happened almost two weeks ago. I was a trained Red Cross disaster volunteer, and one of the simplest things we taught people was how to shelter in place. I’m now convinced that powerhouses like the Ecoflow should be part of your shelter plan, and I urge you to take advantage of the major discounts on these units this week, some of which are as much as 54%.
With major weather events becoming more frequent and utility companies notoriously slow to respond, now is the perfect time to invest in power backup for your home. This year I added two and it made the week long freeze much more bearable. The Ecoflow Delta 2 is one such powerhouse, and it’s a beast that keeps my heater, refrigerator, modem, router, and TV running (I’m lucky the internet didn’t go out, too).
One of the best aspects of these power stations is that they provide renewable energy if you pair them with a solar panel, which Ecoflow also sells (be sure to get a compatible panel for the station you choose; they’re not always interchangeable). If you can’t afford whole-house backup, then having even a small 300 or 500 watt battery can mean the difference between keeping your phone charged and having access to emergency services.
The key to understanding the ideal size of your home is to look at major appliances such as the refrigerator, dryer, air conditioner or heater and see how much power they require. You want the backup to have enough power, or you’ll find out like I did that you won’t be able to power your Instant Pot or mini heater with a 240-watt backup.
Portable power station ECOFLOW DELTA 2 (1024 Wh, 1800 W)
This is my top recommendation because it’s a good mid-size model at an absurd discount: it’s currently 54% off. 1,800 watts means you can power your air conditioner, most appliances, and a new refrigerator (they’re more energy efficient)—not for long, but that’s where solar panels come in to help you recharge.

Portable power station EF ECOFLOW DELTA 2 Max (2048 Wh, 2400 W)
With 15 outlets, this beast can power almost anything in your home. You can daisy-chain it with additional batteries in the range to get even more power. It charges lightning fast via AC or solar power and does so quietly. 2400 W is a lot. The Ecoflow app helps you manage what you charge, and you can actually plug it into your home power supply if you have the right hardware (like a mini subpanel) and run your home directly from the station. If you can afford it, I would choose this higher power station.

Portable power station EF ECOFLOW DELTA 3 Plus (1024 Wh, 1800 W)
While the Delta 3 doesn’t offer the power of the previous two models, it does have some nice features. It has a built-in UPS (uninterruptible power supply) for your more valuable electronics; you can expand the system by connecting additional units in series; and charges quickly. What’s even more interesting is that the app has a storm management feature that will alert you about storm updates and also help you manage your power load until the storm passes.

Portable power station EF ECOFLOW DELTA 3 Plus (1024 Wh, 1800 W)
Moving on to smaller units, don’t overlook this small powerhouse that offers the same power and watt-hours as the Delta 2 but with additional features. Super fast charging (seriously, less than an hour), 4000 cycles and 1500W power consumption. I also really like car fast charging because it’s usually a small charge. Access to the app gives you the ability to manage power on top of everything else.
