Why the ROLA Mini Pet Camera Is My Favorite October Prime Day Purchase
My cat is not good. She’s not patient or nice. She will not allow you to pet her or hold her. She is all about business and certainly not playing . I tried catnip, all sorts of toys and balls of string, but Peepers was never interested until I bought Rola the Robot Cat , a completely ridiculous but totally awesome robot cat toy and security camera. And for a few wonderful moments I made her chase the toy. I videotaped it too, evidence that could be used against her later.
The Rola Cat robot goes on sale on October Prime Day for $119, down from $149. Whether it’s worth it is a personal choice, but I like it. It does exactly what it promises and does it better than I expected. It’s an adorable little robot that you can control with an app on your phone. It shoots amazingly beautiful 2K video even when it’s dark. It transmits and listens to sound, and you can press a button to make it meow, bark, or quack. It can even act as a surveillance camera and take photos or videos when something moves in front of it.
If you have a cat or dog that isn’t a joyless misanthrope like me, you can keep them company at work or elsewhere. Or you can use it simply to keep an eye on what’s going on around your home. I didn’t expect this, but Rola the Robot Cat is my favorite Amazon Prime Day deal.
