What I’m Buying for My Home During the October Prime Day Sale

I love shopping. I love to decorate. I love making everything around me, especially my home, as cute and functional as possible. I also love saving money. With October’s Prime Day approaching, I’m ready to do it all at the same time. Here’s what I’m buying to decorate, organize, and liven up my space, in case you need some inspiration.

My Functional Home Picks for October Prime Day

I’m always looking for new ways to organize and streamline my home routine and belongings. I need shelving – I always need more shelving. I’ve had this lamp and shelf combo in my cart for a few weeks now, ever since I moved my coat rack and it started blocking the overhead light coming into the back of my living room, but I didn’t want to pay $49.99 for it. . You can imagine how excited I was this morning to discover that the price had been reduced to $33.67 for the holiday shopping.

I prefer multi-functional furniture , so something that brightens up the space and has a place to store some of my belongings and decorations is right up my alley. However, I’m also eyeing two ottomans for storage. I highly recommend them because they are very functional and do a great job of hiding and organizing different items, but I haven’t found one that fits my apartment well enough to replace what I already have. That is, until today when I found this:

The rest of the things I catch are mostly simple care items. I mentioned earlier that I started buying cheap Amazon rugs instead of expensive, fancy ones so that I wouldn’t have to worry so much about cleaning and maintaining them. As summer was coming to an end, I noticed that my old carpet had a lot of spray tan on it, so I decided to buy myself a new one. I usually buy one that retails for about $27, but right now for holiday shopping it’s just under $18. Granted, it’s not a huge savings, but I like to wait to buy things that I know I need to get anyway until I get a deal.

I’m also going to buy one or two of the little pink side table lamps since they’re only $19.99 right now. They’re thin, have a fun crescent shape, and I love having lots of easy lighting options. To get the most out of them, I also add some smart plugs , which retail for $19.99 for a pack of four. This way I can turn new lamps on and off using my voice or my phone because I’m lazy.

Finally, since I’m always on a never-ending quest to better store my bags and boots, I invest in this unique stuffed animal holder that creates a sort of mesh enclosure in the corner of the room. My plan is to see if it’s strong enough to hold larger, more unmanageable accessories and give my clothes rack a little break. Why not for $18.39?
