The Best Prime Day Deals on Apple Devices
We finally have an exciting Amazon Prime Day sale for Apple fans. If you’ve been wanting to get the latest (or slightly older) Apple products at great prices, now is the time to pull the trigger. Basic MacBooks, iPads and AirPods are either selling at or close to record low prices. Here are some of the best Apple deals I found for October’s Prime Day, including MacBooks, iPads, AirPods, and Apple Watches.
Best MacBook Deals
-
M2 MacBook Air, 13-inch ($749, $250 off) : Lifehacker tech editor Jake Peterson detailed this sweet deal yesterday , and for good reason. You’re getting a laptop that previously sold for $1,199 when new for just $749. This is the best cheap MacBook right now, with a 13.6-inch Liquid Retinal display, 8GB of RAM, the excellent Apple M2 processor, a modern design to match the MacBook Pro, and best of all, an HD FaceTime camera! It’s Apple’s best tech offering right now, a crown that the M1 MacBook Air has worn for years .
-
M3 MacBook Air 13-inch ($849, $250 off) . If you can save an extra $100 over the M2 MacBook Air, you can get the latest M3 MacBook Air (down from $1,099). It has the best combination of performance, battery life, screen and portability of any MacBook.
-
M3 MacBook Pro 14-inch ($1,299, $300 off) . This is Apple’s latest base model MacBook Pro, featuring the company’s best screen, a fast M3 processor, pro-grade speakers, and a fan system. This fan gives this machine an edge over the M3 MacBook Air as it can actively cool the M3 chip when it gets too hot. You can get it for $1,299 instead of the regular price of $1,599.
Best iPad deals
-
iPad (9th generation) 10.2-inch ($199, $130 off) . If you don’t mind the old screen and physical Home button, you can get the 2021 iPad for the ridiculously low price of just $199, down from $329. . Yes, it’s not the fastest tablet in the world, but the A13 Bionic chip combined with the Retina display is enough for content consumption or web browsing. Give it a thick case and it makes a great tablet for kids.
-
iPad Air 11-inch (M2) ($547, $50 off) . The latest iPad Air with the blazing-fast M2 chip is discounted to $547 (down from $599). It’s not a huge discount, but it’s the lowest price I’ve ever seen for the latest iPad Air on Amazon. For now, the iPad Air is the best iPad for everyone, while the iPad Pro has become overkill for most users. Even for creative people, iPad Air offers all the power, screen quality, and accessory ecosystem you need.
-
iPad mini 6th generation ($349, $150 off) . There are rumors that Apple plans to release an update for the iPad mini before the end of the year. However, if you want to get it at a discount, you can purchase the iPad mini for $349 instead of the $499 list price. This is the lowest discount on iPad mini yet.
Best AirPods deals
-
AirPods Pro 2 ($169, $80.01 off) . If you want the best wireless audio Apple has to offer, the AirPods Pro 2 are what you need. You get an H2 chip, USB-C charging, great noise cancellation, and a transparency mode. The Prime Day sale saw these headphones drop from $249 to $168.99.
Unfortunately, this is the only great deal on AirPods during October’s Prime Day. The latest AirPods 4 without noise cancellation are discounted from just $10 to $119. The older version of AirPods Max with a Lightning port instead of USB-C is available for $394.99 (from $549), but these headphones can often be found for $399. My advice for in-ear headphones? Instead, opt for something from Sennheiser or Sony .
Best Apple Watch deals
-
Apple Watch SE 2nd Generation ($199, $79.01 off) : The 44mm (larger) version of the Apple Watch SE is discounted to just $199, which is a great price for this Apple Watch. It has the same processor as the Series 8, but lacks the always-on display and the latest health features. On the other hand, it has excellent battery life to make up for it . The smaller 40mm model costs just $170.
-
Apple Watch Series 9 45mm ($329, $100 off) . If you’re willing to buy last year’s model, you can save $100 off the list price. The larger Series 9 version ( which is still pretty good ) costs just $329 (down from $429). It still has a fast processor, all-day battery life, and an always-on display.
