The Best Headphones on Sale for Prime Day
October’s Prime Day is finally here, and there are enough deals to make it difficult to sort through. Below, I’ve rounded up the best selling headphones and earbuds. I also used price checking tools to only include deals that are good relative to their price history to avoid those nefarious hidden price increases .
Best Prime Day deals on over-ear headphones
Apple AirPods Max are arguably the best headphones any Apple user can get, and one of my favorite deals . They rarely go on sale, although the price recently dropped to $398 – the price has now dropped to a new all-time low of $394.99 (originally $549).
The Beats Studio Pro are the best headphones Beats offers, but they’re not as good as the AirPods Max. However, at $169.99 (originally $349.99), they’re almost half the price and are a great alternative for those who don’t want to spend a ton of money on headphones. They also have about twice the battery life of the AirPods Max.
Beats Solo 4 came out this year and is quite reliable . Like all Beats headphones, Apple users will get more out of them thanks to better codec and sound quality. At $99.99 (originally $199.95) they see a new all-time low price, which is quite impressive since they were only recently released.
The Sennheiser Momentum 4 rivals the best headphones on the market in terms of sound quality and ANC technology. At $219.95 (originally $379.95), they hit a new all-time low. However, according to PCMag’s review , the companion app isn’t very good.
As the name suggests, the Bose QuietComfort headphones are designed with comfort in mind, but according to PCMag’s review , they also feature some of the best noise canceling on the market. At $199 (originally $349), they’re at their lowest price yet, beating their then-lowest price since May , when I last wrote about them .
If you’re looking for ANC headphones on a budget, the Anker Space Q45 Soundcore is $89.99 (originally $149.99), the lowest price they’ve offered on Amazon to date. According to PCMag’s review, these are one of the best pairs of budget ANC headphones you can buy. They also have impressive battery life (50 hours) and great built-in features.
These headphones are funny . I don’t consider myself a “bass lover” but these headphones make me feel like I’m in a bass-boosted car (in the best possible way). They also have great, easy-to-use controls that you can use to control the bass directly on the headset itself rather than in an app. The Skullcandy Crusher ANC 2 headphones are $134.88 (originally $229.99) and are on sale at their lowest price.
Best in Sound Quality and Comfort : Sony’s WH-1000X series has been around for years and consistently produces some of the best sounding headphones. The $228 (originally $348) Sony WH-1000XM4 is the fourth generation released in 2020 and has already eclipsed the WH-1000XM5, but is still one of the most comfortable headphones with the best sound quality you can get , according to a PCMag review . They previously dropped to $198, so if you want to see if they drop to that price tomorrow, add it to your cart now and check again.
The best Prime Day deals on headphones
According to PCMag’s review , the $79.99 Beats Studio Buds (originally $149.95) are great in-ear headphones for people looking for strong bass without sacrificing balanced sound and noise-cancellation. They came out in 2021 and are already eclipsing the Beats Studio Buds+, but the reduced price helps.
The JBL Tune 130NC offers great value with ANC features for just $44.95 (originally $99.95). According to PCMag’s review , the app also has good bass and excellent equalizer features.
Best for Audio Fidelity and ANC : The Sennheiser CX Plus True Wireless came out in 2021 and received an “Excellent” rating from PCMag for accurate audio reproduction and strong noise cancellation. Right now they’re $83 (originally $179.95), the second lowest price they’ve sold for.
Android users are best able to take advantage of Jabra Elite 4’s codec support for audio quality. Jabra Elite 4 costs $56.99 (originally $99.99). This is the lowest price at the moment. According to PCMag’s review , they have powerful sound, ANC, and a customizable EQ.
The $99.99 (originally $169.99) Anker Soundcore AeroFit Pro is great for people who want to wear headphones without completely blocking out the rest of the world. They also come with an optional neck strap for a more secure fit during intense outdoor activities. They offer excellent battery life, with 14 hours of playback and another 32 hours in the case, and offer customizable EQ, but suffer from poor bass performance due to the open-back design. You can read more about them in PCMag’s review .
