My Favorite Amazon Deal of the Day: Google Pixel Buds a Series
Google had an event last month where they announced several AI features and products in development. One such product is the new Pixel Buds Pro 2 , which you can pre-order for $229 and receive a $30 Amazon gift card before its September 26 release date. As often happens, when a new version is released, discounts are provided on old ones. Well, now the price of the 2021 Google Pixel Buds A series has dropped to $64 (originally $99) after a 35% discount, making them even more budget-friendly than they were before.
As with the Pixel “a” series of mobile phones, which are also currently discounted , the Google Pixel Buds A-Series are more affordable budget versions. At $64, they offer very good value for money, especially if you’re in the Google ecosystem.
The Google Pixel Buds A-Series received an “excellent” review from PCMag for its balanced sound, hands-free Google Assistant voice control, and comfortable fit. The caveats they mentioned were that their bass isn’t very strong and they don’t support wireless charging. If this is not an obstacle for you, you can purchase reliable headphones at a budget price.
These are in-ear headphones, so you’ll get some noise reduction from outside, but they don’t support Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which makes them more affordable, understandably. They have an “adaptive sound” feature that adjusts the volume based on your surroundings (you can turn it off if you prefer). In terms of battery life, you can get up to five hours, and with the charging case you can get another 24 hours. They’re rated IPX4 , so they’re water and sweat resistant, but you shouldn’t submerge them under water or get anything in the charging case wet.
