Luckily for DualSense Edge users, that’s changing today. On Tuesday, Sony announced a new PlayStation Accessories app for Windows that will allow you, in the company’s words, to “unlock the full customizable power of the DualSense Edge controller” on your PC.

The app lets you customize your DualSense Edge for PC gaming, including features such as custom button assignments, adjustable joystick sensitivity, joystick deadzone settings (the area of input that will not be registered), trigger deadzone customization, and vibration intensity settings and trigger effects . Just like on PS5, you can create, customize, and switch between custom controller profiles on your computer. If you prefer a layout for one game and a different layout for another, you can switch at any time.
To be clear, this app only allows you to configure the DualSense Edge controller. The standard DualSense controller that comes with every PS5 will work with the app, but only to update the controller’s firmware. The DualSense Edge is Sony’s “pro” controller and costs $199.99. PlayStation accessories are released in version 2.0.0.13. To use it, you will need Windows 10 or Windows 11 and at least 250 MB of free space.
