What’s New on Netflix in September 2024

September on Netflix will bring new installments of acclaimed original series, including the second part of the fourth season of Emily in Paris (September 12), the second season of Outlast (4 September), the seventh season of The Circle (11 September), and the eighth season of Selling Sunset ( September 6).

The highlight of the new series will be The Perfect Match (September 5), a six-part murder mystery drama based on the novel by Elin Hilderbrand, starring Nicole Kidman, Liev Schreiber, Dakota Fanning and Eve Hewson. Hewson’s character is about to marry into the wealthy Whinbury family (led by Kidman) when a body is found at the wedding. His Three Daughters (September 20) also features a strong cast, with Natasha Lyonne, Elizabeth Olsen and Carrie Coon playing estranged sisters who reunite after their father’s death.

Netflix’s documentary lineup this month focuses on sports, space and social issues. Untold: Hope Solo vs. College Football (September 3) explores the life and career of a football star; “Apollo 13: Survival” (September 5) uses original footage and interviews to tell the story of the astronauts aboard the damaged spacecraft; and what next? “The Future with Bill Gates” (September 18) offers five-episode commentary on issues such as artificial intelligence, income inequality and the climate crisis. DAMER fans will want to check out Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story (September 19), a true crime anthology series about brothers who murder their parents.

Finally, Netflix has both a live hot dog eating contest and a weekly series with psychic medium Tyler Henry. Chestnut vs. Kobayashi: Unfinished Beef featuring rivals Joey Chestnut and Takeru Kobayashi will begin at 3:00 pm ET on September 2, while Live From the Other Side with Tyler Henry will begin on September 17.
