The Latest IPads Are up to $100 Off

In May this year, Apple surprised everyone by releasing the new iPad Pro and iPad Air with the new M4 chip and M2 chip respectively. Before them, most iPads were based on M1 chips. According to price checker tools , all of these new and powerful iPads are selling at their lowest prices since their recent release, with discounts as high as $100. Granted, these aren’t huge discounts, but we’re talking about newly released premium Apple products – any discount is usually well received.

iPad Pro M4 starts at $919.

iPad Pro now features the powerful new M4 processor and OLED display. You can choose between the 11-inch iPad Pro for $919 (originally $999) or the 13-inch iPad Pro for $1,198 (originally $1,299). Both are for 256GB and Wi-Fi versions, but you can also get more storage and cellular connectivity. The iPad Pro is the thinnest Apple product ever made , measuring 0.2 inches thin for a 13-inch tablet. Apple has ditched the M3 chip entirely, moving straight from the M2 to the M4, which should have 50% faster CPU performance and up to four times faster GPU performance than the 10th-gen iPad Pro’s M2 chip. The new Ultra Retina XDR OLED display can have brightness up to 1600 nits and delivers rich, vibrant colors and detail. You can read more about this in PCMag’s “excellent” review .

iPad Air M2 starts at $559.

The new 2024 iPad Air also comes in two sizes: an 11-inch model starting at $559 (originally $599) and a 13-inch model starting at $738 (originally $799). The iPad Air is upgraded to an M2 chip and 128GB of storage, with 256GB, 516GB and 1TB variants available, as well as a cellular upgrade that makes it Wi-Fi independent. The new chip provides faster CPU, GPU and neural engine speeds. Some of the new iPad Air features include split screens, object pick-up, and live text features. Keep in mind that these iPads are premium tablets, which are frankly overkill for most people. As Lifehacker tech editor Jake Peterson puts it: ” They’re overwhelmed .” Essentially, you get one of the most powerful processors on the market for streaming, video calling, messaging, email, and web browsing. Most apps you can download from the Apple Store will work just fine on other, more affordable iPads, like the 10th generation iPad . But if you want the best iPads, there’s no stopping you.
