Apple’s Official IPad Smart Keyboard Is Now Only $50
iPads are great, but it’s the accessories like keyboards that take them to their full potential and turn them into pseudo-mini laptops. If you have one of the older iPads (2021 or older), the official Apple Smart Keyboard for iPad is available right now at Walmart for just $50 (originally $159)—and this model doesn’t have annoying unresponsive keys or an unbalanced cover that moves up and down when pressing keys.
Like almost all Apple products, this keyboard was overpriced when it was released, but for $50 it’s a great smart keyboard for your iPad. Here are the iPads this keyboard is compatible with:
You don’t need to charge this keyboard; it uses three circles on the side of your iPad to power down your device, so there’s no need for pairing or Bluetooth. The two biggest frustrations are that: 1. it’s not backlit, so if you like to type in dark rooms you’ll have a hard time, and 2. when you close it, although it protects the screen, it leaves the back of your iPad open to scratches and damage if dropped.
These annoyances aside, this is a solid Apple-designed keyboard that will get the job done.
