Here’s When Google Will Introduce the Next Pixel

Another year, another pixel. It’s no surprise that Google plans to release the Pixel 9, 9 Pro, and Watch 3 this fall. Every technology company updates its smartphones at least once a year. The amazing thing is that in 2024 this event will happen earlier than ever.

According to The Verge , Google just sent out invitations to its Made by Google hardware event. Google says the event will focus on Google AI, Android and, of course, the “Pixel portfolio of devices.” Although this event is usually held in September, Google is inviting people to the August announcement – August. 13 to be exact.

The event will begin at 10:00 a.m. PT (1:00 p.m. ET), which is pretty standard for these types of tech events. But the later date is curious: why is Google announcing this a whole month earlier than usual? This may be Google’s way of getting around rumors and leaks: by the time Made by Google is released, the pixels tend to be completely leaked, to the point that anyone following the rumors knows pretty much everything Google announces.

However, we have rumors about the Pixel 9 , so this strategy may not work: according to leaks, Google is planning to ditch Apple and release four different Pixel models: 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL. and 9 Pro Fold. Pixels are also expected to come with the G4 Tensor chip, Google’s latest generation SoC. These devices will replace the current Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro , while the Pixel Watch 3 will replace the Watch 2 .

In addition to hardware, Google will share announcements about its latest features and developments in artificial intelligence, as well as Android 15 , which is currently in beta testing. It will be interesting to see what the company has planned for these announcements, as their latest artificial intelligence endeavor, AI Reviews, didn’t have the best rollout .

Since Google has only sent out invites for the event so far, we don’t know for sure how the company plans to broadcast the event to the rest of us. However, Google will likely host a Made by Google livestream onthe company’s YouTube page . If you want to see these announcements live, connect to YouTube.
