How to Create Live Transcriptions in IOS 18

iOS 18 will bring a ton of new features to your iPhone when it launches sometime after the fall, and what I’m most looking forward to is Live Transcriptions, a new feature that can take audio recorded in the Notes app or Voice Memos app. and decrypt it. is to send a message in minutes.

While this feature is by far one of the most useful for upgrading to a new operating system, Apple has made it harder to find, at least in the current developer beta (though you can install it for free right now). with some risk). Here’s what you need to do to start taking advantage of Live Transcriptions in iOS 18 .

Getting a live transcription in voice notes also requires a few taps, but the process is generally a bit simpler.

  • In the Voice Memos app, tap the Record button and create a note.

  • When finished, click the Stop button.

  • Now select the entry you just made on the All Entries page.

  • Tap the three horizontal dots to the right of the post’s name.
