As I said in my review of the Merach rowing machine, it is practical, quiet and inexpensive, even with a big discount. I really like the ability to lean it against the wall so it doesn’t take up too much space in my dining room. The machine is also quiet enough that I can work out while watching TV without annoying my fiancée.
The Merach app is a great companion for your rowing machine, with a variety of workouts, tracking metrics, extra classes, and other paid options that can be unlocked. The screen itself is disappointing, but you can very easily use your phone’s screen and put it in front of you to better understand what you’re doing.
What some may not like about this car is its size. As a 5’7″ man, I feel like the handlebars are very low to the ground and don’t extend far enough early in the ride, giving me a cramped small rowboat feeling. To get any tension in my arms at the beginning of the stroke, I had to lean back, which is not good form. But if you’re just trying to work out, this probably won’t bother you.
