One of the most important parts of decluttering your home is organizing what’s left. No matter how you approach the task, you need to make sure that every item you decide to keep has a designated storage location so that you don’t fall back into your cluttered and cluttered lifestyle.
I recently shared my best recommendations for increasing storage space in your bathroom , but your bedroom is a less obvious place that would benefit from storage and organization solutions. Here are some ideas to get you started.

Closet storage solutions are a world of their own. How you perform this task should depend on what you need to store. Bags can be hung vertically on a chain . From vertical shoe racks to floor closets, you have plenty of options for organizing multiple pairs of shoes . Even your clothes can be stored more intelligently. In general, your storage closet should be customized to suit your needs. I have small closets, so I added small bookshelves like this one that I use for extra clothing storage:
I put two of these shelves on the floor of my closet and let everything on the hangers hang over them – if I need to access the shelves, I just push the clothes to the side. It makes use of space that would otherwise be wasted, and the small sections within the racks allow me to create space for all types of clothing: bodysuits, wide-strap tanks, spaghetti straps and sleeveless tops, sweatpants, yoga pants . , leggings, hoodies, crewnecks… each one has its own cubicle, making organization much more efficient.
I can’t overstate how important it is to have a dedicated place for each type of item, no matter what it is, so the more little shelves or cubes you can add and the more you can separate your things into different categories, the better.
