Sony Just Announced the “state of Play” for PlayStation Tomorrow
With major exclusives like Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and Helldivers 2 already out, it’s time to see what PlayStation has in store for the rest of the year. Sony has officially announced when the next State of Play livestream will take place, and it’s coming a lot sooner than you might expect.
Sony has taken to X (formerly Twitter) and the PlayStation Blog to announce that the next State of Play will premiere tomorrow, Thursday, May 30th. The event will begin at 15:00 Pacific Time (18:00 Eastern Time / 23:00 Moscow Time). The show is expected to last over 30 minutes, although Sony has not revealed the exact timing. However, parent company PlayStation said it will show off updates to 14 different PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR2 games, including PlayStation Studios games scheduled for release this year.
You can follow the latest State of Play updates on PlayStation’s YouTube , Twitch and TikTok channels respectively. It’s unclear what exactly PlayStation will highlight in its timeslot, although there have been rumors and leaks about a new Astro Bot game . It’s also possible that we might learn more about the PlayStation 5 Pro , which has generated a ton of rumors over the past few months.
Considering that PlayStation recently appointed two new CEOs, Hermen Hulst and Hideaki Nishino, we hope this state of affairs will give us some insight into the company’s strategy for the rest of the year. In the comments section of the State of the Game announcement, fans are expressing hope for more information about Insomniac’s Wolverine game, as well as PS VR2 support for PC .
Be sure to keep an eye out for tomorrow’s event, especially if you’re excited about everything that’s in PlayStation’s development. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on what Sony has in store for gamers in 2024.
