What’s New on Netflix in June 2024

Netflix will debut an extensive lineup of documentaries in June, with highlights including Black Barbie (June 19), a Shondaland film that tells the stories of Beulah Mae Mitchell, Kitty Black Perkins and Stacey McBride Irby—three black women at Mattel. responsible for the debut of the first Black Barbie in the 1980s.

Viewers who enjoyed Turning Point: The Bomb and the Cold War may want to watch Hitler and the Nazis: Trial of Evil (June 5), a documentary series exploring the rise of the Nazis through the Nuremberg Trials. There’s also the crime series How to Rob a Bank (June 5), which tells the story of Scott Scurlock, the man behind dozens of bank robberies in Seattle in the 1990s.

Sports docs will be released in June, including the second season of Tour de France: Unchained (June 11) and AMERICA’S BELOVED: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (June 20), directed by Emmy Award winner Greg Whiteley and the group responsible for the films Cheer and Last Chance U. The series follows the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders during the 2023-24 season.

For comedy buffs, there’s Outstanding: A Comedy Revolution (June 18), a documentary exploring the history of LGBTQ+ comedians including Lily Tomlin, Wanda Sykes, Susie Eddie Izzard, Rosie O’Donnell, Scott Thompson and Margaret Cho, as well new specials from Joe Coy ( Live from Brooklyn , June 4) and Keith Robinson ( Diff’rent Strokes , June 11).

At the end of the month, you’ll see the second season of the competition show The Mole (June 28), hosted by Ari Shapiro, and the reality show Owning Manhattan , which focuses on the luxury real estate market in New York.
