Dell XPS 13 for $599.
The Dell XPS 13 launches in 2022 as a lightweight, thin portable laptop starting at $999. Dell’s XPS line is trying to improve the affordable portable laptop, and when the new XPS 13 came out in 2023, it forced the 2022 version to drop its price to $799, but you can now get it for $599 . The 2022 version is a good laptop for most people who want to do everyday computing tasks and media streaming, but it’s not designed for heavy media editing or gaming. It’s a 13.4-inch laptop with a 1920 x 1200 resolution, a standard 60Hz refresh rate, a Core i5-1230U processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB SSD.
Inspiron 16 laptop for $599.
If portability is more your thing, consider the Inspiron 16 laptop . As the name suggests, it’s a larger 16-inch laptop, which means it’s less portable, but it still has great battery life, with up to 13 hours of battery life (up to 12 for the XPS). The Inspiron 16 also has double the storage and RAM, with 512GB and 16GB respectively. Most other specs are about the same: 1920 by 1200 resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, and Core i5-1335U processor.
Alienware x16 gaming laptop for $1,599.99.
If you’re looking for a great deal on a gaming laptop, consider the 2023 Alienware x16 with $700 off. Like the other laptops on this list, this model is cheaper because it is replaced by the newer Alienware x16 R2 gaming laptop . But as our friends at PCMag will tell you, it’s still a “great” gaming laptop . The X16 has a 16-inch screen with a 1920 by 1200 resolution, a 480Hz refresh rate, a Core i7-13700H processor, 16GB of RAM, a 2TB SSD, and an RTX 4060 GPU.
