Roomba is one of the most well-known brands of robot vacuum cleaners, probably because of how user-friendly their app is. But is it right for your home? It depends on your needs.
This iRobot Roomba j7 doesn’t have two important features that would otherwise push the price past the $1,000 mark : a self-cleaning base that sells for $249 (you can always buy it separately in the future) and the ability to clean the floors you You could find it in the more expensive model Combo j7.
If you don’t mind cleaning out the j7 trash can yourself, you can save the extra money. The same goes for the mopping function, although I’d argue that calling what the j7+ does “mopping” is a stretch anyway: it drags around a damp cloth, but isn’t great for cleaning up larger dirt or stains.
