How to Connect AirPods to Chromebook
AirPods are one of Apple’s most popular products, partly due to their ease of use in the ecosystem of Apple devices such as the iPhone, iPad and MacBook. But if you don’t have any other Apple products, you can still connect your AirPods to third-party devices like Chromebooks, and it’s pretty easy to do.
Before you connect your AirPods to your Chromebook, it’s a good idea to make sure they’re charged. You’ll probably need at least 20-30% battery power before proceeding.
How to Connect AirPods to Chromebook
First, make sure Bluetooth is turned on on your Chromebook. To do this, go to Quick Settings by clicking the bottom right corner of the screen, where you will see a clock, battery icon, and Wi-Fi signal. In quick settings you should find settings such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and others . The Bluetooth setting should be in the top middle row of quick settings. If Bluetooth is turned on, you will see a blue Bluetooth icon; if it is turned off, it will be greyed out. When you click the Bluetooth icon, a new window should appear with additional Bluetooth settings, such as pairing options for a new device, such as a mouse or headphones. Click Connect a new device .
Now that your AirPods are in the charging case, put them into pairing mode by pressing and holding the button on the back of the case until the LED light starts flashing white. The indicator may also be located inside the charging case, depending on which model of AirPods you use. To put your AirPods Max into pairing mode, simply hold down the noise control button until you see a flashing white light.
Once you’re back on your Chromebook, you should see your AirPods appear on available devices for pairing. Select them and that’s it: your AirPods are now connected to your Chromebook.
