Four Ways to Uninstall Apps on Android
There are many apps available in the Play Store and you can easily download any one that catches your attention. However, your Android’s memory isn’t unlimited, so at some point you’ll want to clear something out. Here are some ways to remove apps from your Android.
Removing an application from settings
You can remove almost any app from your phone in the Settings app. To do this, open Settings on your phone, then tap Apps. Here, click on “View all apps” and find the app you want to remove. Once you find it, tap it, tap Delete , and then tap OK . Repeat this step for any app you want to remove from your Android.
Removing an application from the Play Store
There are actually two ways to remove apps from the Play Store. The first is to open the Play Store and then find the app you want to remove. Tap the list of apps in the Play Store, then tap Uninstall .
Alternatively, open the Play Store, then click on your profile. Click Manage apps and device , then select the Manage tab. Here you’ll see a list of apps installed on your phone, which you can sort by recently updated, name, most used, least used, or size.
Check the box next to the app you want to delete and a trash can icon will appear at the top. Tap this icon to remove the application. Using this method, you can remove multiple apps at once, so it’s great for large cleanups.
Remove the app from the Home screen or app drawer.
On the Home screen or app drawer, find the app you want to remove and tap and hold its icon. When you do this, you will see the option to remove the app from the Home screen or app drawer or uninstall it. Just drag the app icon to the Uninstall option, then click OK .
If you have a Samsung phone, this process may look a little different. Once again, find the app you want to remove, then long press it. However, you will now see a pop-up menu with a Delete option. Click on it and then click OK.
