What’s New on Netflix in September 2023
After a stellar August, September has been an easier month for Netflix when it comes to flashy original fares, but there are still some gems for those of you who haven’t given up on the service yet due to price increases and password crackdowns. . share .
On September 21, Netflix will release the final season of the raunchy and heartfelt high school comedy Sex Education . The end of the third season brought a major change: Moordale Academy closed after a protest by sex-positive students caused the school to run out of funding and close. When the final season begins, the returning cast members will begin their sixth grade at a new school and try to figure out their futures while navigating their personal (and sexual) lives.
Director Wes Anderson has already released one new film this year, Asteroid City , which has been delayed due to the pandemic; Netflix will release a second movie sometime this month, although it’s only 39 minutes long, it’s more of a short film. His adaptation of Roald Dahl’s short story “The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar” stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Ralph Fiennes, Dev Patel and Ben Kingsley. There is no trailer and no confirmed release date yet.
Also on the way from Chilean director Pablo LarraĆn ( Jackie Spencer ) , El Conde (September 15) is a black-and-white satirical horror film that claims that Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet was actually an ancient vampire fed up with life, and absentmindedly lived through proposals of cruel government with a death wish.
