You Can Finally Disable TikTok Automatically
Opening TikTok with loud sound can be a little awkward, especially if you’re in an academic or professional environment. And thanks to automatic payment, this will go on and on until you either hastily close the app or find the mute switch. But now TikTok has added a much-needed feature that will mute the app every time you launch it – the video will still play automatically, but now without sound.
Make sure you have the latest version of the TikTok app and go to your profile. Click “Menu” in the top right corner and go to “Settings and Privacy”. Scroll down to the Playback section and enable the Open TikTok Mute feature. And finally, peace.
To unmute a video when you’re ready for sound, you can do one of two things: simply tap the “Mute” icon on the video, or use the volume buttons on your smartphone to manually adjust the volume.
If your main complaint is that videos are too loud at startup, you might also want to try lowering the volume of particularly loud videos rather than muting them entirely. In the “Accessibility” section, you will find the “Auto Volume Control” function. When you turn it on, it automatically reduces the volume when TikTok is too loud. This won’t affect the system volume, but it’s an on/off feature and the TikTok app makes the decision on when to turn down the volume.
