The best places to store luggage
First of all, you need a cool and dry place, out of direct sunlight and away from bugs, rodents and other pests. Here are some suggestions:
- tallest shelf in the closet
- Under the bed – if you put your luggage in a large (clean) trash bag to protect it from dust.
- Space under the stairs
- Stowing smaller pieces of luggage inside larger items
- Hangs from (large) hooks or rods on the wall
Take the time to clean your luggage before putting it away for your next trip, especially if it gets dirty along the way. Also, check the inside to make sure it’s not even slightly damp, as this can lead to mold growth and ruin the suitcase. If you’re unsure, leave your luggage open so it can air out.
