These Restaurants Are Giving Away Free Food to Firefighters and Nurses This Week.
Nurses, firefighters and ambulances, this is not an emergency: two restaurant chains want to give you free food this week as a token of gratitude for your work and the people you help.
National Firefighters Day is celebrated on May 4, and Smashburger is giving away free food to firefighters and medics in recognition. Meanwhile, for nurses weekend, Firehouse Subs wants to say thank you by buying one and getting one free subscription (which isn’t that generous, admittedly, but we’re guessing they didn’t mean to snub the nurses).
How the emergency service works to get free food from Smashburger
Emergency workers just need to go to a participating Smashburger on May 4th and mention the National Firefighters Day deal to get a free Single Classic Smash burger (worth $7.19 here in New York). You can find participating Smashburger here .
Not sure if your job is right for you? The full list includes firefighters, fire and rescue workers, emergency medical technicians (EMTs), medics, and paramedics. You will need to show proof of identification to receive free food and the deal is limited to one coupon/customer per transaction. You can also get another lower value item if you don’t like the Single Classic Smash burger.
How nurses can get free food from Firehouse Subs
Nurses Weekend is this weekend, May 6-7. As a token of appreciation, Firehouse Subs is offering nurses a free medium subscription with the purchase of another medium or large subscription, as well as chips and drinks at participating locations. Offer includes any medium subscription, including the limited-time Smokin’ Triple Stack subscription. You will also need to show proof of employment or proof of employment in the registry.
This deal can only be claimed in person and is limited to one client. You can find Firehouse Subs locations here , although the chain hasn’t specifically provided a list of places that are eligible for the draw, so call ahead to make sure.
