This Recalled Starbucks Drink May Have Glass in It.
PepsiCo has voluntarily recalled over 300,000 bottles of Starbucks vanilla frappuccinos due to possible glass shards inside. The bottles, which may contain glass shards, have been distributed nationwide, according to a notice from the US Food and Drug Administration .
Which bottles of Starbucks have been recalled?
The product is a 13.7 oz Starbucks Frappuccino Vanilla chilled coffee drink. This recall affected 25,200 cases, each containing 12 glass bottles, that PepsiCo was distributing across the country. Infected bottles have the following expiration dates:
- March 8, 2023
- May 29, 2023
- June 4, 2023
- June 10, 2023

This isn’t the first time Starbucks drinks contain unwanted items. Last September, PepsiCo recalled 221 packages of its Starbucks Vanilla Espresso Triple Shot drinks due to potential metal fragments in cans .
PepsiCo told TODAY.com that “the removal of these products from the market is currently ongoing. Products are not sold in Starbucks outlets. Drinks can typically be found at Target, Amazon, Walmart, and Safeway , according to NPR .
The notice does not mention any injuries or how the glass was discovered. The FDA says the recall began on Jan. 28 and is still ongoing.
What to do if you have a recalled Starbucks Frappuccino?
There are no instructions yet from PepsiCo or the FDA on what to do with the recalled bottles, but if you have them, don’t drink them – at least until more information about the recalled products is available.
