Here’s How to Buy a 55-Inch TV at Walmart for $188
It happens every year: customers get excited about an amazing online Black Friday deal, but get frustrated when the website crashes or their internet is too slow to catch the best deals on a first come, first served basis. But there’s a workaround for at least one impressive 55-inch 4K smart TV deal from Walmart this year, even if you miss the first round.
Walmart is holding an early online Black Friday sale on this TCL 55-inch Class 4-Series 4K UHD HDR Smart Roku TV at 12:00 pm ET Nov. 7 for Walmart+ members: it will retail for $188 compared to retail price at $499. (The deal will be open to non-members starting at 7 p.m. ET, but TVs will likely sell out before then.) In previous years, even people who signed up for a Walmart+ membership couldn’t get access to a deal. They won’t get it until after they sell it out, leaving them without a TV and with a Walmart+ membership they don’t initially need ( Membership costs $49 in the first year and $98 in subsequent years, or $12.95 per month. )
How to Still Get a Deal After TVs Sold Out
This year we confirmed that if you can’t buy this particular 55″ TV before it runs out on the Walmart website, you can purchase any other 55″ TV on the Walmart website and they will fit you. for 188 dollars. the price of the TV of your choice. However, there are some caveats.
Walmart says you’ll have to buy a TV and then call their customer service at 1-800-925-6278 and speak to a rep. Tell them you’re a Walmart+ member (non-members out of luck) and that you tried to buy a TV but they ran out of stock before you could get yours. (Make sure to buy and call before 7pm ET when the deal opens for non-members – they won’t match you after that time.) Let them know you’ve purchased another 55″ TV and ask for their price corresponding to it. The Representative should be aware of their price matching program; if they don’t know this, ask to speak to their manager, who should let you negotiate prices.
Walmart says this is a “one-time service” for Walmart+ members. They also say that if there are no 55-inch TVs available, they will let you purchase a similar size with similar features. There is some wiggle room if there is no clear “similar” TV, but this will depend on who you are talking to. to.
