You Can Now End an IPhone Call With Siri

With the recent updates in iOS 15, the Siri feature on your device performs amazingly consistently on-device tasks such as setting timers, alarms, reminders, and calling people. In fact, placing calls is something Siri has always been good at, and it handles cellular calls or FaceTime calls equally well. Now, with a new feature in iOS 16, Siri can also end calls for you hands-free. This is really useful if you talk a lot through your iPhone speakers or use wireless headphones like AirPods or Beats.

( Note : This is an iOS 16 feature that is currently only available as a public beta . The public release of iOS 16, scheduled for the fall, will be available for all compatible iPhones worldwide.)

After installing iOS 16, go to Settings > Siri & Search > Siri Call Hang Up and turn on Siri Call Hang Up . Now say ” Hey Siri, hang up ” to take the call to bed. Of course, the caller will also hear these words, which may seem a little strange to him, but you can decide for yourself whether this little inconvenience is worth the convenience and freedom of a speakerphone.

If you don’t see this feature in settings, your device may not be supported. According to Apple, only iPhone 11 and above are supported. But older iPhones can use this feature with AirPods and Beats headphones that support Hey Siri. Initially, this feature is also limited to these seven languages: German, English, Spanish, French, Japanese, Chinese, and Cantonese.
