Now You Can Quickly Edit Multiple Photos at the Same Time on Your IPhone
If you’re not a professional photographer, you really don’t need a powerful third-party photo editor on your iPhone. Over the past couple of years, Apple has built a pretty solid image editor right in the Photos app that lets you tweak everything from contrast to white balance. And in iOS 16 , Apple is adding a feature usually only found in professional image-editing apps: the ability to batch process photos.
This feature allows you to precisely edit one photo and apply it to multiple photos. If you’re processing photos from the same shoot or location, this can be very handy. However, this feature is a bit hidden so you might not know where to find it.
Note . This new feature is only available in iOS 16, which is currently in public beta . The update will be released as a stable build in Fall 2022.
To use this feature, select an image, click the Edit button to enter edit mode, do your thing, and click Done to save your changes.
Now that the image has been edited, click on the three-dot Menu button on the top toolbar and select Copy Changes . Your iPhone will copy all editing options to your clipboard. Navigate to the album you want to paste the changes into and click the ” Select ” button on the top. Select as many images as you want, press the three-dot ” Menu ” button and ” Paste Changes “.
A small box at the bottom of the screen will keep you updated on the editing progress, but it only takes a few seconds for the changes to be applied to all the photos you have selected. If you ever regret these changes, you can quickly undo them: tap the three-dot Menu button again, then tap Revert to Original .
