Now You Can Get a Bunch of Pokemon Games for a Lot Less Money.

Pokémon is one of Nintendo’s cash cows. Sword and Shield is one of the best-selling games on the Switch, which itself is one of the best-selling systems in video game history. So when the rare sale of Pokemon games hits, you better be in the know.

It just so happens that Nintendo is more than happy to sell you Pokemon games at full price even years after release. However, if you close your online store and head to Best Buy , you can save some Pokemon games right now. Not all games announce a discounted price before you put them in your cart, but for those that do, the sale will run until 1:00 AM ET on Tuesday, May 10th.

Some major games are heavily discounted. Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield , for example, are $40 each, $20 less than their $60 retail price. Sure, these games have received their fair share of criticism from the Pokemon community, but Nintendo is actually printing money selling them – they’ve sold almost 25 million copies of Sword and Shield . The fact that a store like Best Buy is willing to part with them for 1/3 MSRP is amazing.

Speaking of amazing, you can save half off other games including Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Go, Evie! These games also sell for $60, but Best Buy is offering them for $30. The Let’s Go games are HD remakes of Pokémon Yellow for the Game Boy, with some mechanics adapted from those in Pokémon Go .

Another set of remakes is also $20 off: Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl are $40 each at Best Buy today, allowing you to play Switch-worthy remakes of DS Pokémon games for $10 more than you bought them in 2006. . Finally, you can also get the New Pokémon Snap for $40 if you want to play the sequel to the N64 classic.

Unfortunately, Pokémon Legends Arceus is still $60, even at Best Buy. Looks like Nintendo and Co. until they try to squeeze every last penny out of the last game in the series. But there are plenty of other games to choose from if you decide to play Pokemon, but only at a discount.
