What Are You Doing to Make Flying Coach Stop Sucking?
I recently boarded a plane for just the second time since March 2020, and I’m here to tell you: flying hasn’t gotten any better. The seats are just as cramped, the cabins are just as loud, and the flights are just as full. Air travel tends to be a big mess due to understaffing , overbooking, delays, cancellations and confusion about masking requirements. It’s so chaotic that even $10,000 isn’t supposedly enough to get people to refuse confirmed seats on a flight, and when you’re flying in a bus/economy class, two hours in the air can last 12, even with noise cancellation. headphones, comfortable clothes and a window seat.
One alternative, of course, would be to pay to fly Premium Economy or First Class. But on shorter, regional flights and smaller planes, I honestly don’t think it will make much of a difference as everyone will have the same cabin and a few extra inches of legroom or seat angle degrees probably won’t are worth it. often substantial additional costs. In addition, airfare prices are already particularly high due to rising passenger traffic and skyrocketing fuel prices. An economy class ticket may be your only (to some extent) available option.
How do you stay sane while flying on a trainer?
But I don’t think flying cheap seats should be the worst. Of course, there are things to pack, ways to plan ahead, on-demand upgrades, and things to do on the plane to make you feel like you’re traveling in (relative) luxury, whether you’re traveling in-state or transcontinental flight.
