You Should Definitely Make Sticky Honey Babies in the Air Fryer
Potatoes are easy to manipulate. Slicing, dicing, mashing, frying, boiling, baking, all of these will create a completely different dish, and you can achieve a wide variety of flavors and textures without much effort on your part. Take potatoes and french fries, for example: both are fried, but what happens before frying makes them what they are.
I wouldn’t say I prefer babies to french fries – it’s hard to prefer something over crispy golden fries – but I do appreciate a toddler’s adaptability. Potato patties can be cooked buffalo and made into waffles , and their bulbous texture means they hold sauces better than any other potato in the game. So when I saw Food52’s recipe for gooey honey potato wedges , I thought, “Why not toddlers?”
The original recipe is great on its own, but a raw, reddish-brown crust takes many more minutes to cook than air-frying pre-roasted potatoes. All you have to do is cook the tortillas until they are crispy (this should take no more than 10 minutes), toss them into the honey and olive oil mixture, then return them for a few more minutes to thicken the honey. , sticky sheen on potatoes.
You can season the honey as you see fit and increase it to suit your baby serving, but stick to the ratio of one part olive oil to two parts honey. For spices, I like a pinch of MSG, some cayenne pepper, and plenty of fresh pepper; but again, you have to be free to be creative.

Transfer to a large bowl. Whip the honey mixture one last time to make sure everything is evenly distributed, then drizzle the honey mixture over the babies and stir gently. Return to the fryer at 400 degrees for another 3 minutes until the honey thickens. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
