The Most Popular Places on Zillow to Fantasize About a Home You Can’t Afford
Many of us have spent some of our free time over the past two years browsing home listings online, first in hopes of getting beyond our current four walls, and then in desperation of the out-of-control real estate market.
The fact that we searched doesn’t mean we were buying (although obviously someone was ), but real estate listing sites like Zillow and Redfin took into account where people searched to compile their most “wanted” lists. directions for moving.
Of course, read these listings with a grain of salt as they are based on pageviews of home listings in specific zip codes, as well as annual house value growth, above listing selling price, and other data. points. They are not necessarily an indicator of where people are actually moving or a complete look at the local real estate market.

The hottest areas in America according to Redfin
Redfin broke down major metro areas to identify the three “most popular” zip codes in each , although the report only used September 2021 data. Here are the most popular areas in the country:
- South Sarasota, Florida.
- Eastern Venice, Florida.
- Englewood, Florida.
- Venice, Florida.
- Nokomis, Florida.
- Meadows, Florida.
- Chatham, Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
- Weston, Florida.
