What’s New in Paramount Plus January 2022
I don’t know why I thought the monthly Paramount + news reviews were a good idea or even a necessity. I mean, I think so: of course, the first few months of the ex-CBS All Access offerings were pretty anemic, but in the face of the pandemic, they announced plans to release their films simultaneously in streaming and in theaters, and surely that would be for which are followed by tons of interesting original series, huh?
Eh, not really. I mean there is, of course, Star Trek – Paramount + is still the perfect location for this franchise, and Discovery season 4 launched last year as well as Star Trek: Prodigy animated series (new episodes due in January . 6). And there was that Hawkeye show that is n’t on Disney +. But other than that, well. Hmm, I mean not to be a jerk! It’s hard to compete with Netflix, Disney, and HBO. But when your services cost about the same monthly, you have to give people something. And Paramount + … doesn’t really do that. Certainly not January 2022. This month’s most exciting new release is The Envoys (Los Enviados) , the streamer’s first Spanish-language original. Filmed in Mexico City, the series follows a pair of priests commissioned by the Vatican to verify the authenticity of reports of miracles. It launches on January 20, and everything else will go into service in January.
