How to Finally Link Your Instagram Stories Without 10,000 Followers

One of Instagram’s many hierarchies is the link feature in Stories. You only got access to it if you had over 10,000 followers or if you had a verified account, so most users couldn’t add a link directly from their Instagram Story. This is why Instagram bio link aggregators have become popular.

But now almost everyone can add links to their Instagram Stories (users who violate Instagram’s Community Guidelines won’t have access to them). Instagram has also changed how the feature works – there is no longer the Swipe Up feature, and instead, links appear as stickers. This is how it works.

How to add stickers to your Instagram stories

Instagram is gradually rolling out this feature to all of its users around the world. So if you don’t have it yet, please update the Instagram app and try again in a couple of days.

To get started, open the Instagram app and swipe right to go to the Instagram Stories interface. Here you can use media from your library or create new media using the Stories interface.

When you’re done, tap the Stickers button at the top or swipe up from the bottom of the screen. Click the new ” Link ” button in the stickers menu.

On the Add Link screen, enter or paste a valid link. Then click the ” Finish ” button.

A new floating sticker will appear with the name of the website. You can move it wherever you want. You can make it smaller or larger using the pinch-out gesture, and you can tap the sticker to select different style options.

Once you’re done, you can share the story with all of your followers.

Opening links with a sticker is pretty easy too. Just tap a sticker, then tap the Visit Link button to open the link in Instagram’s built-in browser.

From here, you can use the three-dot menu button to open the link in any browser of your choice.
