We used to steal milk boxes to build crappy bookcases, but today kids fold them, climb the resulting pyramid, and then post videos of their spectacular falls on Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok. The videos are so popular that #cratechallenge amassed over 82 million views on TikTok before being canceled.
As expected due to the trend on the Internet, curses, parents and doctors indicate that this is a very foolish thing to do, because falling from a stack of hard plastic boxes can fracture any number of bones, plus vaccine deniers can take all the beds in local hospital.
As a responsible adult, I agree with the doctors, but I can’t lie: I would definitely try when I was young and adamant. Stupid shit that can hurt you is as much a part of young adulthood as judging that old fart is.
Obviously, don’t, but if you absolutely have to rise to the challenge, have a plan . Or, just sit in your boring but safe chair and watch otherpeople live their lives .

Last week, we learned that popular DIY adult site OnlyFans was planning to ban sexually explicit content, citing pressure from its payment processors. This week, OnlyFans was like, “Pretend we didn’t say that. You can post whatever you want. “

Internet Drama of the Week: Reddit Users Demand Banning False COVID Information. Reddit says no.
A serious pandemic drama is brewing on Reddit. Earlier this week, a coalition of various subreddits called on Reddit to “remove dangerous medical misinformation that is life-threatening and contributing to this ongoing pandemic,” with subreddits ranging from a powerhouse to 20 million users + message boards such as r / soul thoughts. with tiny niche chapters like r / stonedswifties to demand to do something about the growing spread of pandemic nonsense on the site.
In a response, Reddit CEO Steve “spez” Huffan spoke coldly about banning Rona’s disinformation, writing, “We believe it’s best to give communities the opportunity to engage in debate and express dissent.” (User comments were of course banned from spez.)
Part of what makes Reddit such a bloody Reddit is the site’s commitment to allowing both sides of an issue to be expressed. When it comes to vaccines, doctors and epidemiologists around the world urge you to receive a proven, safe, free and effective vaccine to prevent the spread of this deadly disease. As for the fight with vaccines, the most stupid people with whom you were in high school, offered to treat COVID medicine by worms from the feed store, so it is a valuable and useful debate.

Mini Trends of the Week: LeBron and Bossa Nova Destruction
Here are a couple of trends in youth culture that are too small right now, but may or may not grow into something more.
- Destruction of LeBron James Figures : There is a tiny subculture of TikTok users who love videos of people creatively destroying LeBron James figurines. The toys are filled with slime and are made to stretch, so it’s nice to push them to the limit. You can fill them with water until they flow, manipulate the inner slime to grow a LeBron pack , or simply give your LeBron doll the dignified burial it deserves . (You know you’ve done all of this and worse to Stretch Armstrong.)
- The return of bossa nova. Maybe it’s because I’ve only been listening to jazz / samba music in the early sixties lately, but I’m predicting bossa nova is going to make a huge comeback with the kids. My Proof: New K-Pop Group CRAVITY has released the bossa nova track “Go Go” on their debut album, which will expose millions of raging K-Pop fans to the boss virus, and the great Billie Eilish has released “Billie.” Bossa Nova ”this week, a full-blown boss fireworks display that features kids’ hips shaking slightly. Is this the beginning of a widespread revival? Are the millions of Eilish heads and K-pop stans passionate enough to try hard things likeAntonio Jobim andStan Getz ? Prank me and say, “Of course.”
